Eva was born in 1932. She was the daughter of Arnold Addington and Pearl Buchanon. She passed away in 2018.

CASTLEWOOD, VIRGINIA - Marie Addington Sproles, 85, passed from this earth to everlasting life on Saturday, February 10, 2018 to be reunited with her beloved husband, Lawrence F. Sproles, her parents Arnold and Pearl Addington, and all her brothers and sisters.

She was born in Dante, Virginia. Due to illness, Marie moved to New Jersey to live with her daughter in 2010 but her heart was always in her beloved Virginia and she missed her friends and family greatly. She graduated from St. Paul High School and lived most of her life in Castlewood, Virginia. She attended the Assembly of God Church in St. Paul and later the House of the Lord Church in Castlewood. She enjoyed playing piano and organ for the choir, vacation bible school, revivals and Christmas plays.

She is survived by her two children, Darleena Byrne and husband, Joe of North Cape May, New Jersey and David Sproles and wife, Neena of Woodworth, Louisiana; one grandson, David Sproles; as well as several nieces and nephews on both the Addington and Sproles side of the family.

Graveside Services and Interment for Marie Addington Sproles will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 16, 2018 at Temple Hill Memorial Park, Castlewood, Virginia with Rev. Ted Phillips officiating. Family and Friends will meet at the funeral home and go in procession to the cemetery leaving at 10:30 a.m. Friday. Pallbearers will be Family and Friends.
