Biography

"Andes Recorder, 3 Feb 1933- New Kingston Man Dies - David ADEE died at his home in the New Kingston valley January 27, at the age of 82 years. He was born in Weaver Hollow in 1850, and was twice married, his first wife being a DUMOND and his second, Sarah WARD, who survives him with a son and a daughter. Funeral services were held Monday."[1]

David Adee died last Friday afternoon of the infirmities of old age at his farm home in the valley. Mr. Adee was born in Weaver Hollow eighty-three years ago and had spent all his life in this vicinity. He had many friends, was known for his rugged honesty and was a firm believer in the old policy of hard labor, which he practiced.
His first wife died forty-five years ago after which he married Sarah Ward, who survives. The other near survivors are a sister, Mrs. Mary White of Arena. Mrs. Maggie Archibald, a daughter by his first wife and daughter, Mrs.Raymond DuBois of Kingston and son Gordon of Woodstock. His funeral was held Monday in the church of which he was a member and was conducted by the pastor, Rev. W. B. MacCready. Interment in the Valley Cemetery. —
