PARKER L. ADKINS - Seventy-nine years old of Griffithsville died Saturday morning in a Huntington hospital after a long illness. A retired farmer, he is survived by two sons, Sherman Adkins of Sweetland and Nathan Adkins of West Hamlin; two daughters, Mrs. Beulah Roberts of West Hamlin, Mrs Florida Stanley of Griffithsville; one brother, Isiah Adkins of Oak Hill, Ohio; 10 grandchildren and one great grandchild. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the Koontz Funeral Home in Hamlin with Rev. Russell Adkins officiating. Burial will be in the Walker Adkins Cemetery on Big Laurel Creek.
