John was ‘ of Brokham’
1254 There was a chapel at the house of John FitzAdrian in Brockham, licensed by the Bishop of Winchester[1]
A palimpsest brass, with the arms of the Fitz Adrians, under-tenants of Brockham, on the reverse, was found in the church, and is now in the British Museum.
