Nola Arlene Short , 93, of Archbold, Ohio passed away December 28th, 2014 at Fairlawn Haven. Nola was born on July 8, 1921 in Archbold, Ohio to Sam and Magdelina (Short) Aeschliman. She graduated from Archbold High School in 1939. On March 16, 1941, she married Chester Short. They celebrated 71 years of marriage before his passing in 2012. Nola worked as a waitress for many years in the Archbold area, she also worked for Leon Lugbill at Brookview Farms, but Nola was best known for her many years spent as a sales clerk at Stotzer's Hardware where she was in charge of the houseware and gift department. In 1978 Nola received the Archbold Rotary Club's Sales Person Courtesy Award. She was a member of the Archbold Business and Professional Women's Club. After retirement Nola and Chester moved to Deleon Springs, Florida where they worked at Spring Garden Ranch a standard bred race horse training facility for which their son Gil was the general manager and part owner. In 1995 Nola and Chester moved to Liberty Center, Ohio to be near their daughter and her sons. Nola loved to cook and bake and was happiest feeding family and friends at her kitchen table. Everyone loved her sugar cookies. is survived by her 3 children, Jack (Judy) The Villages, Fl., Gil (Bonnie) of Williamsburg, Va and Mary Beth ( Louie) of Liberty Center, Oh., seven grandson's, Brian, Brad, Ryan, Anthony, Andrew, Chad and John and 18 great grandchildren.

Besides her husband Chester, she was preceded in death by an infant grandson, Jamie, brothers and sisters, Fannie (Harley) Nofziger, Nelson-(Essie) Aeschliman, Ann (Ira) Grieser, Ralph (Opal) Aeschliman, Noah Aeschliman,, Marie (Noah) Kaufman, Ilva (Walter) Miller, Bill (Lillian) Aeschliman, Alfred (Hap) Betty Aeschliman and Zelma (Donald) Rupp.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday at 11 AM at Fairlawn Chapel with Cecily Rohrs officiating. Interment will precede at 10 AM in the Pettisville Cemetery. Friends may call at Fairlawn Chapel from 3-8 PM on Tuesday. very Special Thank You to the Entire Staff at Fairlawn Haven. Your care and love for our parents over these past few years was such a blessing to them and so much appreciated by us.
