Biography
James was born about 1852 and was the son of Archibald Affleck and Helen Grant.
In 1861 James was living at Marwell Cottage, Lasswade with his parents and siblings. He was a scholar.[1]
In 1871 James was living at No 1 Carrington with his parents and siblings. He was a fire clay miner.[2]
