He is the first fruit trader in Hardanger to be known by name; he was in Bergen with a shipload of cherries on 2 aug 1665, the day of the sea battle between the Dutch and the English in Vågen.[1][2]
He married Gurid Jakobsdotter Velure about 1655.[1] Their children were:
