AGAR, John Giraud, lawyer; b. New Orleans, June 3. 1866; grad. Georgetown, D. C, Univ.. 1876 (M. A.. 1888; Ph. D.. 1889); studied two years in Roman Catholic Univ., Kensington. London; grad. Columbia Law School, 1880; asst. U. S. atty. Southern Dist. N. Y., 1881-2; chairman campaign committee People's Municipal League, 1891; commander and paymaster and Judge advocate on staff of naval militia, N.Y.. 1897-8; member of Bd. of Ed'n, New York city. 1896-8; m., Feb. 18, 1892, Agnes Louise Macdonough. Residence: 9 W. 48th St. Office: 31 Nassau St., New York.
