Note: Mr. and Mrs. Nelson Agee and Betty called on their son, Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Agee, and family of Sheridan Sunday and joined them in a trip to the coast. They went as far south as Newport. On their return home, they called on Mr. and Mrs. Norman Agee at Rose Lodge.

Event: Obituary AFT 11 JAN 1970. Oregon Note: Charles Agee. Charles Nelson Agee, 76, a lifetime resident of the Sheridan community, died Jan. 11 in a McMinnville hospital. Funeral services will be held Thursday, Jan. 15 at 2 p.m. in Adamson's Sheridan Funeral Home. Interment will be in the family plot of the McMinnville Masonic Cemetery. Mr. Agee was born in Sheridan on Aug. 3, 1893, the son of Charles M. and Ida Conrad Agee. He married Mildred Margaret Post on Nov. 30, 1915, in Portland. They came to live on a farm in Gopher Valley which had been homessteaded by his grandparents over 100 years ago. He loved to hunt and was well known as a trainer of hunting dogs. He was a member of the Phil Sheridan Fellowship. He is survived by four sons: Norman, Melvin and Raymond of Sheridan and John of Salem; two daughters: Ruth Tatom of McMinnville and Betty Schmitz of Willamina; a brother: Lloyd of Sheridan; a sister: Pearl Foster, Milwaukie; 17 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
