Biography

Southerton Aggett was born on November 27, 1837 in Chagford, Devon, England, United Kingdom. He was the son of John Aggett, Thatcher, and Francis Ann Southerton.^{[1] [2]}

In the 1841 census Southerton (age 4) was living with his parents and two sisters at their home in Chagford, Devon, England.^[3]

In the 1851 census Southerton (age 13) was the son of John Aggett in Chagford, Devon, England.^[4]

Southuton arrived on the ship Oithona on 30 January 1855 in Portland, Australia having departed from Plymouth^[5]

He returned to England with his wife. In the 1861 England census Southerton (age 24) was living with his wife and young child in Dudley, Worcestershire, England. He was a porter employed with the railway.^[6]

Southerton died on 12 August 1905 and was buried the following day in North Gosford, New South Wales, Australia, Bradys Gully Cemetery.^{[7] [8][9]}
