Biography

• Patrick Agnew of Lochnaw was the son of Andrew Agnew of Lochnaw and Agnes Stewart. He was born in 1529. He married Janet Gordon, daughter of Sir James Gordon of Lochinvar, in 1550.He died in 1591.

• He held the office of 6th Hereditary Sheriff of Galloway between 1547 and 1591

• He was married three times. His wives:

• He was Beheaded for trying to seize Stirling Castle.
