Biography

Obituary: Sophia Dolginoff, 90, of Kansas City, MO, passed away Sunday, September 8, 2002, at Menorah Medical Center. Funeral services will be 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, September 11, at The Louis Memorial Chapel, 6830 Troost Avenue. Burial at Rose Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. Dolginoff was a sales associate for DuVall's, Ward Parkway store for over 20 years before retiring in 1981. She was a member of Congregation B'nai Jehudah, its Sisterhood, a volunteer in the Temple's gift shop, and a member of Hadassah. Mrs. Dolginoff was born in St. Joseph, MO, moved to Atchison, KS in 1935, then to Kansas City in 1952. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 60 years, Simon H. Dolginoff, in 1995. Mrs. Dolginoff is survived by her sons and daughter-in-law, Stanford M. Dolginoff, Arlington, TX, Gene L. and Jeanie Dolginoff, Overland Park, KS; daughter and son-in-law, Cynthia and Bud Lieberman, Leawood, KS; sister, Clara Deitchman, St. Louis, MO; grandchildren, Lisa and Jeffrey Pelo and their children, Clayton and Luca; Todd and Janet Dolginoff and their children, Seth and Marla; Stephen Dolginoff; Lori Dolginoff; Zach and Amy Lieberman and their son, Jacob; Jay and Elizabeth Lieberman. Nieces and nephews also survive. Pallbearers: Bud Lieberman, Todd Dolginoff, Stephen Dolginoff, Zach Lieberman, Jay Lieberman and Spencer Gerber. Sophia brought happiness, wit and wisdom to everyone she knew and was "Aunt" to many. She lived a beautiful, joyous life and will be deeply missed by all of those who love her. Sophia Unknown ...
