Arthur married Inez Schwarz on 28 June 1939, in Logan, Iowa. His age was given as 27, and his residence as Ellsworth, Hamilton, Iowa. Inez was age 23 and she came from Radcliff, Hardin, Iowa. [3]
Arthur and Inez were living in Radcliffe, Sherman Township, Hardin, Iowa, United States the following year, when the 1940 census was taken. Arthur was employed as a labourer with the railroad, and Inez was a public school teacher. [4]
Arthur died on 1 April 2009, in Webster city, Hamilton, Iowa. He was 97 years old and his date of birth was given as 11 November 1911.[5] He was buried in the Homewood Cemetery. [6]
