Biography

Conrad has Kingdom of Hannover roots.

Conrad C Ahrens was born on October 30, 1836, in Oberg, Königreich Hannover, Deutscher Bund, now known as Oberg, Lower Saxony, Germany, his father, Heinrich, was 30 and his mother, Dorothea, was 26. Conrad married Carolina Nebich in 1860. They had ten children in 24 years. He died on December 25, 1915, in Gillespie, Texas, having lived a long life of 79 years, and was buried there.[1]

Together they became the parents of Emma Ahrens [1861–1868], Charles Ahrens, Henry William Ahrens, Lina (Ahrens) Priess, Hulda [Ahrens] Hahn, Alfred Adam Ahrens, Edward Jessie "Eddie" Ahrens, Sophie (Ahrens) Meyer, Otto Henry Ahrens, and Richard Ahrens.

Conrad was the son of Conrad Ahrens, and Ilse Dorothee, Wille.

In the 1850 census Conrad (age 13) was in Fredericksburg, Gillespie, Texas, United States.[2]
