Biography
When James Hislop Aikman was born on 19 June 1881 in Leith, Midlothian, his father, Andrew, was 28 and his mother, Isabella, was 28. He had two brothers and one sister. He died on 5 December 1958 in York, Yorkshire, at the age of 77, and was buried in Seafield, West Lothian.
