Summarized, the first couple of paragraphs: Alexander Aikman Family: Alexander Aikman, born 1690 in Scotland, died 1765. Wife unknown. Alexander Aikman emigrated to New Jersey in approximately 1730. His brother, John Aikman emigrated in approximately 1740. It is believed that Alexander had four children:
Born: Isabella Aikman, b 1733, died 1814.
Born: John Aikman, b 1735, died 1806.
Born: William Aikman, b 1738, died 1805.
Born: Alexander Aikman, b about 1740, died 1777
This article is in reference to Alexander Aikman born 1770 who was the son of the above William Aikman born 1738. This Alexander raised his family in Arkansas. He died in Pope County, Arkansas in 1835.
