Biography
Fred Airey was born in 1883. [1] He married Wilhelmina Esplin in 1909. [2] After she passed away in 1919, he married her sister Betsy Airey in 1920 [3] He passed away in 1950 age 67 [4]
FATAL COLLAPSE IN TAXI A retired railway employee, Fred Airey, aged 67, of 330 High street, collapsed in a taxi after arriving at the Dunedin Railway Station by the express from the north about 5.30 p.m. on Wednesday night He died before he could be admitted to the Hospital. Death was due to heart failure and an inquest will not be necessary. Mr Airey was returning from a holiday in the north. [5]
