Born about 1699, William Aislabie was the eldest son of John Aislabie, M.P., chancellor of the Exchequer 1728-21, and his first wife, Anne Rawlinson, daughter of Sir William Rawlinson of Hendon, Middlesex. He was returned to Parliament as member for Ripon in 1721 and continued to represent the seat until his death.
About 1722 he married Lady Elizabeth Cecil daughter of John, Earl of Exeter and his wife, Elizabeth Brownlow. [1]They had two sons who died in the lifetime of their father and 5 daughters. Elizabeth died on the 6th of April 1733. [2]
William succeeded his father in 1742 and on the 6th of September 1745 he married Elizabeth Vernon, [3] daughter of Sir Charles Vernon. They had a son who died in the lifetime of his father and a daughter. [4]
William died on the 17th of May 1781, aged 81 [5] and was buried at Ripon Cathedral. [6]
