Biography

John Aistrope, son of John Aistrope and Ann Couls, was born in 1850, at London (christened 20 Oct 1850 in St John Horseley Downs at Bermondsey, London, England). ^[1]

In 1876 John married Jessie Monk.^[2] They had one son, Frederick, in 1877.^[3] Later that year they emigrated to Adelaide, South Australia on the ship Rodney.^[4][5] and had eleven more children:

• John, born 1879;
• Henry, born 1881;
• Jessie, born 1883;
• George, born 1885;
• Walter born 1888;^[6]
• Mary Louisa, born 1891;^[7]
• Thomas William, born 1893;^[8]
• May, born 1896;^[9]
• Eleanor Emily, born 1898;^[10]
• Edwin Charles, born 1901;
• Jessie Blanch, born1902.

John died in Adelaide in 1930.^[11]
