DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Robert by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Robert:
Aitchison-659 and Aitchison-486 appear to represent the same person because: I believe this could be the same person. The Robert I have been researching has children named Selkirk and Rebecca fairly unusual names and born around the 1780 mark (calculated by marriage date and age of children). When looking for possible births I came across John Aitchison and Susanna Hewit who also had children named Selkirk and Rebecca. I therefore believe the 2 Roberts to be the same person. Can we merge these profiles please.
