Margaret Aitken was born on 15 Oct 1873 in Glassford. She was the daughter of John Aitken and Isabella Arnott.[1]
In the 1881 census Margaret was a 7-year-old student and lived at Avonholm Cottage, Glassford with her parents and siblings.[2]
