Laurina Aitken was born in Scotland.

Laurina was born about 1890. She is the daughter of David Aitken and Agnes Forsyth.

In the 1891 census Laurina (age 1) was the daughter of David Aitken at 39 High Street, Airdrie, Lanarkshire.^[1]

Both her parents died by 1906 amd she departed England on 25 November 1909 on the Ruahine bound for Wellington, New Zealand. ^[2]

Laurina married in 1911 in New Zealand. Although her husband's name not given, other recordsd show them togehter. ^[3]

Laurina was registered to vote in New Zealand at the same address as her husband, Edgar James Lowrie..^[4]
