Biography

John Aiton was a newspaper editor. He was the son of Thomas and Mary Aiton. His father was born in Scotland and his mother in Illinois. He married Ida Kullenberg, who had emigrated from Sweden as a child. They had 11 children: John M Jr, Thomas F, William L, Leland L, Charles E, Edward O, Frank L (1910), Travis, twins Mary Ethel and Martha Bethel (1915), and Robert Goodin. The family lived in Bangs, Texas, but later moved to Hico in Hamilton county.
