David Akerman is buried in Fairmont Cemetery, Raton, New Mexico.

David was born on February 25, 1891. [1] [2] [3]

His parents, both Russian immigrants, were Levi Akerman and his wife, Ella. They immigrated to America in 1885. During the time of the 1900 United States Census the family was living in the town of Trinidad, Las Animas, Colorado. David (age 9) was the youngest of six children. David's three oldest siblings, Samuel (age 23), Jennie (age 19) and Harrry (age 17) were born in Russia, like their parents. His sister, Rosa (age14) was born in Canada. [4]

The 1930 U.S. Census lists David (age 39) as running his own men's clothes business in the town of Raymond, Washington, and residing as a guest at the city's Raymond Hotel. He is still a single man. [5]

However, that same year, David Carl Akerman (age 39) married Marion Clark Littrell Gogerty (age 33) in Snohomish County, Washington. [6] [7]

In 1934, David and Marion welcomed a baby boy to their family. They named him Louis Rory Akerman. [7] Louis became a medical doctor and specialized in the field of Dermatology, diseases of the skin. [8]

While living in the town of Raymond, Pacific County, Washington, David (age 51) registered for the World War II draft. The year was 1942, and at the time, he was self-employed in the industry of Toggery. [9]

David (age 87) passed away on June 1, 1978, four years after the death of his wife, Marion (age 77) died.[3] [10] His body was buried at the Fairmont Cemetery in the town of Raton, Colfax, New Mexico. [11] [12]
