Noah Akeroyd was born on 28 March 1829 at Haworth, Yorkshire and baptised on 8 June 1829 at St Michael and All Angels, the son of Thomas Akeroyd (~1795 - ~1873) and Ann Pickles (~1799 - ~1873)^[1].
