Biography

Hamilton Akers was an Appalachian.

Hamilton Akers was the son of Nellie and Ernest Akers. He was born 14 Mar 1911 in Hayters Gap, Virginia.

He married Ruby Glen Roberts. He worked as an electrician and lived in Waynesville, North Carolin. They had the following children:

  1. David Hamilton Akers, b 1938[1]
  2. Victor Glen Akers, (1941 - 1941)[2][3]
  3. H M Akers, (1943-1943)[4]
  4. Howard Craig Akers, (1946-1946)[5]

Hamilton died at age 37 from a malignancy in his chest; he is buried in St James Cemetery, Chilhowie, Virginia.[6]
