When Alyce Pauline Akers was born on March 5, 1927, in Nevada, Iowa, her father, Louis, was 22, and her mother, Ethyl, was 17. She married Gene M Farmer and they had six children together. She died on March 21, 1978, in Eldora, Iowa, at the age of 51, and was buried there.
