Husband of Ada Sparks. Elmer was 22 at marriage in 1910.
1920 Census of Kansas City Kansas (Euclid Ave) shows Elmer C. Akers age 30, born in Missouri (father born KY). Wife was Ada S. 29 in MO. Children Anabelle age 8 born in KS, William 5 born in Kansas, Ada 3 born in Kansas.
1910 Census of Kansas City Kansas (Douglas Ave). shows Elmer C. Akers 21. He was son of William C. Akers age 53 born in Kentucky. Elmer's mother Belle was 42 born in Illinois. She was married 15 years and had 3 of 7 children living. Norble age 24 born in MO was married to Rosa age 18. Another brother of Elmer was William H. born 22 in MO.
My interest in the family of Elmer Akers was increased when my Gibson family contact, Jessie told me that Horace Smalley was introduced to his wife, Ethel, who was a relative of Elmer Akers. The research "panned out". Elmer's mother was a Gibson.
