Biography

Lacy Robinson Akers was born on September 3, 1897 in Virginia, United States, son of Alexander Akers (1860–1940) and Mary Angeline Lewis (1866–1914).

In 1900, Lacy was living in household of Alex Aker (39) in Lead Mines District, Wythe, Virginia. [1]

In 1910, Lacy (17), was a single son, in the household of Alexander Akers (49) in Spring, Mercer, West Virginia, United States. [2]

Lacy (21) married Isabelle Minnetta Conroy (19) (born on May 28, 1899 in Goshen, Tuscarawas, Ohio, United States; daughter of [father] and Bertha Mary (Haas) Conroy) on May 7, 1919 in Johnson County, Kentucky, United States.[3] Their son was William Alexander Akers (1926–2001).

In 1920, Lacy R Aikers (22), married head of household in Fayette, West Virginia, United States. [4]

In 1930, Lacy R (32), married head of household in Oak Hill, Fayette, West Virginia, United States. [5]

In 1940, Lacy (42), married lodger, was in the household of W G Baker (44) in Kanawha Magisterial District, Fayette, West Virginia, United States. [6]

Lacy registered for the draft for World War II. [7]

Lacy died on February 18, 1976 in Davidson County, Tennessee, United States, aged 78. He is commemorated at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, Goodlettsville, Davidson County, Tennessee.[8] [9]
