Biography

According to his death record,[1] John Henry AKERS was the son of Jonathan Akers and Sarah Howell, was born on 25 December 1852 in Kentucky (probably in Floyd County) and died on 3 February 1937 in Louisa, Lawrence County, Kentucky.

He married on 4 May 1872 in Floyd County, Kentucky to Mary Jane GREER.[2]

Mary Jane GREER was the daughter of William and Elvira GREER. She was born about 4 May 1851 in Ashe County, North Carolina and died on 23 November 1934 in Louisa, Lawrence County, Kentucky.
