Biography

Anna was born in December 1872^[1] to Robert Akers and Nancy Porter, their eighth and youngest child, and only daughter.^[2] She was probably born in the family house in Johns Creek, Johnson County, Kentucky, but it's impossible to say for certain as the first known written record of her is the 1880 census. She finished 8th grade.

She married Kenzie Webb in 1894.^[3] They made their first home in Floyd County, Kentucky, which is the county immediately south of Johnson County. After the death of her father in law in 1899 her mother in law Martha Ann (Wells) Akers lived with them until at least 1910, presumably until her death. Anna and Robert had six children together. Lida Ann Webb born December 30th, 1896. ^[4] Roland Burns Webb born June 27 1899. ^[5] Alexander Roosevelt Webb born October 27, 1900.^[6] Shirley B Webb born July 11th, 1903.^[7] Topsey Webb Born December 1st, 1904.^[8] Minnie Myrtle Webb born December 1st, 1911.^[9]

Between 1910 and 1920 she moved from Floyd Kentucky to Lewis, Kentucky. It's unclear if they family moved again, or was just redistricted before 1930.

She passed away on December 14th, 1946^[10] and was buried in the Maysville Cemetery.^[11]
