Biography

When Joseph AKERS was born in 1798 in Christiansburg, Virginia, his father, Thomas?, was 38 and his mother, Susannah?, was 38. He married Levisa "Vicy" CHAFFIN on June 8, 1815, in Montgomery, Virginia. They had six children in 17 years. He died before 1880 in Montgomery, Virginia, at the age of 72.
