Leslie Gordon Akin Sr., 63, of Willisburg, Kentucky, died Saturday, September 13, 1997, at Norton Hospital in Louisville. He was born August 10, 1934, in Greensburg. He was a parts distributor for Trans World Airlines at O"Hara Field in Chicago, Illinois, for several years. He had lived in the Chicago area until moving to Kentucky four years ago. He was a Baptist, a U.S. Navy veteran of Korea, and a member of the Moose Lodge in Chicago and Carpentersville, Illinois. He was preceded in death by his father, Harry Quintin Akin, and a sister, Dorothy Nell Akin. He is survived by his wife, Rosa Corine Elliott Akin, Willisburg; his mother, Lillie Mae Keltner, Washington, Illinois; one son, Leslie Gordon Akin, Jr., Oak Lawn, Illinois; one daughter, Dorothy Mae Marsh, Eureka, Illinois; and six grandchildren.
