He served the United States during the War of 1812. He was in Pvt Captain T. L. Gourdin's Company, 43rd United States Infantry.[1]
He died, at the age of 89-90, in 1878 in Winston County, Alabama. He is buried at the Rocky Plains Church Cemetery, Winston County, Alabama.[2]
