Biography

Catherine (Akins) McKenna was born in County Durham, England.

Catherine was born on August 7th, 1880 in Throston, England to Thomas Akins & Annie Conway.^[1][2][3] She married Walter Buttriss July 19th, 1902 at St. Bede's Catholic Church in Jarrow.^[4] From the marriage came two children.^[5][6] Catherine then married John McKenna on January 28th, 1914, in Jarrow.^[7] She died November 25th, 1968 in Jarrow, at the age of 88.^[8] Catherine was interred November 27th in Jarrow.
