Afong Akiona, 49, died yesterday, Oct 1, 1928, in Honolulu, O'ahu, at 11:30am, after an extended illness. He was long time connected with the Pearl Harbor navy yard. He was born in Kohala, Hawai'i. Survived by widow; and a number of children. Services will be held at 2pm, this afternoon, at Borthwick Mortuary. Burial to be in Nu'uanu Cemetery (O'ahu Cemetery).
