DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Marthinus by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA. However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line. It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Marthinus:

A child's birth date (Akkerman-45 born 1668) should not be before a parent is six years old (father Ackerman-460 born 1680) .

This profile plus his wife & son appear to be duplicates of Martinus Akkerman (abt.1668-1720), Geertje Lambert (Symese) Simonsz (bef.1695-) and Johannes Akkerman (bef.1716-). Unless you have any objections, I will merge all the duplicates into the existing profiles.

Also, how certain are you that his father was Christiaan Ackerman (abt.1680-) ? There is no mention in the SAG Register or Personalia of the Germans at the Cape' of his father. See :
