Lydia Cordelia Alanson was born about 1785, possibly in Saratoga County, New York. She was the wife of John Brooks. Lydia died on APril 18, 1856 about age 70 or 71. She is buried at Pioneer Cemetery in Phelps, New York. [1][These data are attested by Find A Grave and need confirming sources]
The 1850 US Census of Phelps, New York shows Lydia Brooks, age 65, in the household of Alfred Brooks age 29. Also living with George and James McMillen, ages 10 and 21 respectively. This record says she was born in Connecticut. [2] And the 1855 New York State Census records Lydia age 70 in the household of Alfred Brooks in Phelps, New York. [3]
Lydia was born in 1785. She passed away in 1856.
