Biography
Agnes Ellen Albany was born in 1864 and baptised on 28 Aug 1864 at Christ Church, Ware, Hertfordshire, England. She was the daughter of John Albany and Mary Francis.[1][2]
In the 1871 census, Ellen Albany was age 7 living at Ware, Hertfordshire with her father John Albany (30), mother Mary Albany (33), brothers George Albany (3), Albert Albany (5 [months]). Also a boarder William Brown (49).[3]
In the 1881 census, Ellen Albany was age 17 living at Gt Marlboro St, St James Westminster, Middlesex as a Domestic Servant.[4]
Charles Knight married Ellen Albany on 21 Sep 1890 at Great Amwell, Hertfordshire.[5] They had seven known children: Florence Nellie Knight (b. 1892), Daisy Mary Knight (b. 1893), Frederick Charles Knight (b. 1896), Albert Cecil Knight (b. 1898), Eva Rose Knight (b. 1899), Ernest Walter Knight (1901–1902), Ernest William Knight (b. 1905).
In the 1891 census, Ellen Knight was age 26 living at Great Amwell, Hertfordshire with her husband Charles Knight (27).[6]
In the 1901 census, Agnes E Knight was age 35 living at Ware, Hertfordshire with her husband Charles Knight (36), children Florence E Knight (9), Daisy M Knight (7), Frederick C Knight (5), Albert C Knight (2), Eva R Knight (1), father John Albany (62).[7]
In the 1911 census, Agnes Ellen Knight was age 45 living at Ware, Hertfordshire with her husband Charles Knight (46), children Daisy Mary Knight (17), Frederick Charles Knight (15), Albert Cecil Knight (13), Eva Rose Knight (11), Ernest William Knight (6).[8]
Agnes Ellen Knight died in 1927 age 62 at Ware. She was buried on 20 Jan 1927 at St Mary the Virgin, Ware.[9][10]
