- George Edgar was born in Lincoln County, GA, on 20 Nov 1881 and died on 12 Sep 1969 in Washington, Wilkes County, GA[1]. He married Essie Tullis and they had five known children [2].
- Parentage
- Although most records of his life list his surname as Albea, his surname at birth was Robinson. George's birth father is unknown, but guardianship records from 1884 provide evidence of his birth name and his mother. On 6 October 1884, "Adeline S Albea" filed for guardianship of George Edgar Robinson, "the child of your petitioner," due to the death of George Seistranck (?) and and inheritance that GE would receive[3]. Guardianship was granted on 3 November 1884[4].

- Adeline Susan Pittman had married Thomas Tillman Albea in Lincoln County in 1880 and Adeline, Thomas, George, and a new child, Hattie, appear together in the 1900 census.
