Notes

Although at this point there are no records available of Jacob's participation in the Union army during the Civil War, The Wikipedia article on the Battle of Mill Springs mentions that the 9th Ohio was involved in that battle which took place on January 19, 1862. It may be that Jacob was injured in that battle and died later, or died from other causes after his enlistment. Grisley-1 08:08, 1 May 2015 (EDT)
