He was the son of Hermann Albers, b. in 1709 in Emen, Munster, Nordrhein-Westfalen, Germany and [Kralmann-1|Helene Kralmann]], b. 19 Nov 1742 in Hilter, Munster, Nordrhein-Westfalen, Germany. He married Anna Walburga Behnen on 15 Nov 1796 in Lathen, Munster, Nordrhein-Westfalen, Germany. They had four children:

  1. Johan Herman Albers b.9 Sep 1798, d. 22 Dec 1798
  2. Johan Herman Albers b.12 Jan 1800, d.18 Jan 1873
  3. Anna Helen Albers b.13 Oct 1807, d.26 Mar 1808
  4. Johan Heinrich Albers b.27 Jun 1809, d. 17 Aug 1887
