He is the son of Anthony Albertowicz (1864–1937) and Maraliski Piatkowski (1865–1942), both from Poland. They came to the country about 1889 with several children and eventually the name was shortened to Alberts. Living on Conarroe street, he is the sixth of 8 children[1]. They moved to what appears to be Fillmore St, where the census shows the last name Albert[2]
He married Mary in 1917[3] and set up house on Marden St, He registered for the draft [4] listing his occupation as a mill hand for Imperial Woolen Company. Joseph, John and Francis were born[5]
With the loss of their 3rd born Francis and a growing family they moved to Gay St in Manayunk[6]Anthony and Mary came along, In the 40's he was working in the pluck mill [7]Edward,Eleanor, James and Francis II were born at the time of the census. He was working for the Collins And Aikman Corp when he registered for the WWII draft[8].Their youngest child Carl was born in 1944.
