Biography

Emily Albery was christened on 29 Apr 1838 at St Peter and St Paul's Church in Godalming (Anglican). Her father's occupation was given as groom, and the family's address as Church Street.

Emily married John Debenham in 1861 in Guildford district.

John died on 4 Aug 1895, aged 55, at his home, Sandy Road, Godalming. He was buried on the 9th in Nightingale Cemetery, Godalming, in the unconsecrated section.

Emily died on 13 Feb 1931, aged 92, in her home, 18, Croft Road, Godalming. She was buried on the 17th in the same grave as her husband.

18 Croft Road was also the address of her spinster sister-in-law Isabella (her husband's sister), when she died in 1925, so they may have been living together.
