Notes
NI1310According to her obituary, "Mrs. Frank Devidek, 56, a beloved and esteemed resident of this city for the past 13 years and for many years a highly regarded resident of the town of Trenton, died at her home at 106 North 10th avenue.. after an illness of almost a year due to a complication of diseases.... The couple resided on a farm near Myra in the town of Trenton until 1923, when they came to this city.... Mrs. Devidek was a lovable woman in every sense. The duties of the household were sacred chapters of her devotion. She was an encouraging example for her children to prepare them for life, and she was a devoted and kindly daughter. Her winning ways attracted many friends to her. Love and esteem will be woven into the memory remaining of her life." (West Bend News, 9/10/1936)
According to another obituary, "Mrs. Devidek was in poor health the past summer, suffering with a complication of diseases, but confining her to bed only three weeks.... Mrs. Devidek was a woman of sterling worth and character, a dutiful wife and a kind and loving mother, whose consideration at all times was for the welfare of those near and dear to her. She had many close personal friends, and these, too, will exceedingly regret her untimely death." (West Bend Pilot)
