Research Notes
He appears to have been the Edward Albon baptised on 28 Oct 1832 at Arlesey, Bedfordshire, the son of William and Mary Albon. His first son and second daughter were named William and Mary which fits with the traditional naming pattern.
I can't find William, Mary or Edward in any census. Nor any other children for William and Mary. Did the whole family emigrate? Arlesey 1841 census seems to be deficient/damaged on FS

Is there something in Australia which gives his birthplace as Bedfordshire? I'm pretty sure that the 1832 baptism in Arlesey is the right one as he drops off the radar screen completely.
There is an Edward baptised in Beds, and an Edward who married and died in Australia whose father was named as William. But nothing that I've found says the Edward in Australia was born in Bedfordshire. But I think we're safe in assuming that he was.
