"Phillip Albright (1756-1820)... married Christina Clapp (1756-1792). They migrated to Campbell County, Tenn. about 1800 and settled in an area known as the "Lost Creek Settlement" about 30 miles northwest of Knoxville in the Clinch River valley... On January 1, 1810 [their eldest son] John married Elizabeth Sharp of Campbell County. They reared fifteen children... :

"John and Elizabeth (Sharp) Albright remained in Campbell County, Tennessee until most of their fifteen children were grown... On the morning of February 19, 1851 John, age 69, and Elizabeth, age about 65, ten of their children ... made the two month [flat boat] trip of more than 700 miles in freezing weather... and homesteaded land in Craighead County, Ark. ... John's wife, Elizabeth, died shortly after their arrival in Arkansas and John died nine years later in 1850.
1810 Marriage[3] John Albright (b. 1782) married Elizabeth Sharp in 1810 in NC. Note: There is a record of a marriage between Ludwick Albright and Betsy Sharp in Orange County, NC 2 Oct 1787[4], clearly this must have been a different Albright as John would have been 5 years old. Find a Grave states that "Bettie & John" were married 4 Jan 1810 in Campbell County, TN...

Living nextdoor are William (32) & Nancy (27) Albright with their children. A story on Ancestry relates that John was a tailer because he was crippled, having been kicked by a horse as a boy, and he could not do farm work.
1860 Death John Ludwig Albright died 19 Mar 1860 and is buried in the Philadelphia Cemetery in Jonesboro, Craighead County, Arkansas.[7] Find A Grave: Memorial #55717229.
