John Albright was born in 1775 in the area that is now Campbell, Tennessee, the son of John. He married Sarah Phillips (1785-1850) on September 1, 1807 in Rockbridge, VA[1] and they had nine children:

William Albright (1810–1863)
Mary "Polly" Albright (1813–)
Sarah "Sallie" Ann Albright (1815–1880)
James Monroe Albright (1818–)
John Jackson Albright (1820–1870)
Jacob P. Albright (1822–1885)
Arabella Albright (1824–1851)
He died on June 22, 1827, in Montgomery, Tennessee, at the age of 52.
