George Albert Albright was the son of Jacob and Sophia Catherine (Welder). He was born in Berks County, Pennsylvania around 1761. In 1763 George's father moved his family to Orange County, North Carolina and it was there around 1790 that George married Catherine (Caty) Holt. Caty was born around 1770.
In the 1800 US Census, George was in Hillsborough, Orange, North Carolina listed with
George Albert and Catherine had at least ten children:

7 - Tamar (f) born circa 1805, North Carolina
8 - Alvis Albright-2818, born circa 1808 , North Carolina
9 - Michael, born circa 1815, North Carolina
10 - Sarah (Sally) Albright-653, born 14 May, 1817, North Carolina
George was mentioned on a memorial in Mount Hermon Memorial Cemetery, Graham, Alamance County, North Carolina, United States with a death date of 1838.[2]
George Albert acquired large tracts of land in the Alamance Creek basin and he gave the tract of land for Mount Harmon Cemetery in Alamance County. George died in 1838 and Caty in 1829. Both are buried in the Mount Harman Cemetery.
