Biography

George Edward Albro was born on 22 Oct 1918 in Cranston, Providence, Rhode Island, USA to Charles Louis Albro and Lula May (Spencer) Albro.[1][2]

George married Esther Emery Tubman on 01 Aug 1943 in Warwick, Kent, Rhode Island, USA.[1]

George died on 02 Jul 1989 in North Providence, Providence, Rhode Island, USA at age 70, and was buried in Pawtuxet Memorial Park, Warwick, Kent, Rhode Island, USA..[3][4]

George E. Albro
PROVIDENCE - George E. Albro, 70, of Vermont Avenue, a delivery driver for library services for the state for 10 years before retiring in 1980, died Sunday at St. Joseph Hospital, North Providence. He was the husband of Esther E. (Tubman) Albro.

Born in Cranston, a son of the late C. Lewis and Lula M. (Spencer) Albro, he lived in Providence for the past three years. He previously resided in Warwick, Cranston and Tiverton.

He previously owned George's Wholsale Gasoline Service Station on Post Road, Warwick.

Mr. Albro was an ordained Pentecostal minister and devoted many years in the hospital and nursing ministry.

Besides his wife he leaves four sons, Duane E. Albro of Providence and Steven S. Albro of Cranston, Glenn P. Albro of Old Orchard Beach, Maine, and George S. Albro of Tiverton; a daughter, Nancy L Makris of Sandy Spring, Md.; a brother, G. N. Branch of Foster; a sister, Doris M. Prokurat of Providence, and eight grandchildren.

The Funeral service will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Urquhart-Murphy Funeral Home, 812 Greenwich Ave., Route 5, Warwick. Burial will be in Pawtuxet Memorial Park, Warwick.[5]
